Tūmanako Te Ora – Men’s Group
This 4-week program provides a holistic approach that incorporates self discovery practices and Relaxation Training, including visualisation, meditation, and conversational support techniques. This program offers a safe and supportive environment to develop greater resilience, self awareness, emotional regulation and effective communication.
The Process: Awareness – Recognise the trauma and its impact —> Acceptance – Acknowledge and accept the experience and emotions —> Integration – Make sense of the trauma within one’s life story. —> Empowerment – Regain control through value-aligned choices.
Facilitators: Kati Ludwig & Te Arahi Bryers
Kati is a Registered Psychologist with over 14 years’ experience and a background in trauma therapy, yoga, and group facilitation. Her integrative approach blends evidence-based psychological practice with mindfulness, embodiment, and self-compassion.
Te Arahi is a skilled facilitator, kaupapa Māori practitioner, and programme designer with decades of experience in men’s wellbeing, justice-involved youth, and cultural leadership. He brings warmth, depth, and tikanga Māori values to his facilitation style.

Self care & Body awareness – Women's Group
This program aims to support female SCS clients by providing a holistic approach that incorporates evidence-based Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Mindful Movement and Relaxation Training, including meditation, breath, and Sound Healing techniques. By acknowledging the physiological effects of trauma on the brain and body, this program offers a safe and supportive environment for clients to develop greater body awareness, self-regulation, and resilience.
Kati, one of two facilitators, is a Registered Psychologist specialising in anxiety, depression, stress and trauma therapy as well as finding more happiness, self compassion and purpose in life. Her training includes CBT, ACT, Energy Psychology, mindfulness and embodiment practices.
Alice, the second facilitator, is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music therapist. With a background in classical piano and proficiency in 16 instruments, she has toured globally. Alice has worked extensively with geriatric patients, trauma patients, and children with special needs, facilitating vocal, percussion workshops & sound healing journeys.

Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TSY)
TSY is invitational, involves no holds or assists and is personally adaptable to become your Yoga practice. TSY is designed to support:
increased body and breath awareness
empowerment and connection to your body and actions
sense of connection to others
present moment awareness
increased distress tolerance
increased sense of safety in own body
